About this site
Privacy Policy
What this site collects, why, on what legal basis under the GDPR, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights.
This privacy policy explains how CasinoCraic collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit casinocraic.com. It applies to information you send us by email and to technical data your browser shares with the site. CasinoCraic is an independent guide to online casinos, bonuses, games and payments. The site is intended for people aged 18 and over in the Republic of Ireland.
Who we are
CasinoCraic operates this site and is the data controller for it under the General Data Protection Regulation. You can contact the data protection function at [email protected]. For general enquiries outside data protection, use the contact page.
The full legal entity and registered address are available on request. We do not print them in this template because a fixed address can become outdated. The about us page describes the editorial team and its approach.
What we collect
We keep collection to the minimum needed to run the site and answer you. The categories below show what we may hold and when we hold it.
- Information you send us by email Your name, email address and anything you write in your message.
- Technical data your browser sends IP address, user agent, pages viewed and similar log data.
- Cookie and analytics data Data gathered only if you consent through the cookie banner.
We have no accounts, no registration and no payment processing. That means we never hold payment card details, login credentials or deposit histories. If you send us personal data by email, we treat that message as your own submission.
Why we process it, and the legal basis
Each purpose below rests on a legal basis set out in the GDPR. The table lists what we do, the data involved, and the basis we rely on.
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis under the GDPR |
|---|---|---|
| Answering an email | Information you send us by email | Legitimate interest, and where relevant steps before a contract |
| Keeping the site secure and working | Technical data your browser sends | Legitimate interest |
| Measuring audience | Cookie and analytics data | Consent |
| Affiliate attribution | Cookies set by the partner when you click an outbound link | Consent |
Legitimate interest means we rely on the balance between our reasonable need to run and secure the site and your interest in privacy. You can object to that processing at any time. Consent means you have a genuine choice, and you can withdraw it without detriment. Affiliate attribution depends on consent because the relevant cookies are set by the partner after you click an outbound link.
Cookies and tracking
Essential cookies keep the site working. They do not need consent. Optional cookies, including analytics and some affiliate cookies, load only after you choose a preference. You can change that preference later.
You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings or by clearing the relevant cookies in your browser. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before it was withdrawn.
When you click an outbound link to a casino or another partner, that partner may set its own cookies. Those are governed by the partner’s policy rather than ours. We do not control the partner’s cookie duration or its own processing.
Withdrawing consent does not make earlier processing unlawful. It stops any further optional tracking from that point.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who need it to run the site or to measure its audience. Those categories are hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics providers, affiliate networks, and any authority we are legally required to tell. Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement that restricts its use to our instructions. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
Transfers outside the EEA
Some of our service providers process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on an adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission or standard contractual clauses approved for the transfer. You can ask for a copy of the relevant safeguard by emailing [email protected]. We will provide it without charge.
How long we keep it
We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the matter and to keep a record of corrections or disputes. That period depends on the subject of the message. Technical logs stay for a short period so we can investigate faults and security issues. Analytics data is held in aggregate and does not identify you individually.
When the purpose ends, we delete or anonymise the data. We do not store data indefinitely.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the rights listed below. To exercise any of them, email [email protected]. We may ask for proof of identity before acting on a request.
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances.
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data while a complaint is checked.
- Portability: ask for your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent: withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
We respond within one month of receiving a verified request. If the request is complex or you make several requests, we may extend that period by two further months and will tell you why. The first copy is free. We may charge a reasonable fee for further copies.
Complaints
The Irish supervisory authority is the Data Protection Commission. You can complain to it at any time if you believe we have not handled your data lawfully. You do not have to contact us first. Its website is dataprotection.ie.
Children
The site is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Our responsible gambling page explains the age rule. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email [email protected] and we will delete it without unnecessary delay.
Changes to this policy
We date changes to this policy and keep the current version date here. The current version is dated 7 October 2026. This policy works alongside our terms and conditions. If we make material changes, we will update this page and adjust the date. Material changes are those that affect your rights or the way we process data.
