Minimum Deposit Casinos in Ireland

A site can take 1 euro and still need 20 before its welcome offer applies. The deposit minimum, the bonus minimum and the withdrawal minimum are three separate numbers.

18+ Over 18s only. Gambling can be addictive: set deposit and time limits, and stop when it stops being fun. Credit cards cannot be used for gambling in Ireland. The free, confidential National Gambling Helpline is open 24 hours on 1800 936 725.

In Low deposit

  1. 011 Euro Minimum Deposit CasinosOne euro buys between two and ten spins, and almost never a bonus. Useful for testing a cashier, not for a session.

A five or ten euro deposit puts a hard limit on the session before a single spin. You can open an account, load a game with real money, and see how the cashier and verification process behave without moving a week’s entertainment budget across. That makes a low minimum a budgeting tool first, and a way to test a site second.

It also interacts badly with bonus terms. A casino can accept one euro and still set the welcome offer at twenty euro or more. The floor you care about at the cashier is one number; the floor for the promotion is another. Our 1 euro deposit casino page and 5 euro deposit casino page work through those two floors separately. If you want a bonus without any deposit at all, that is a different question, covered on no deposit casinos.

Top low deposit casinos for Irish players

This table lists Irish-facing casinos by our editorial transparency score. The order rests on the public registers and how clearly each operator discloses its corporate structure, never on the size of the deposit they accept. No deposit minimum has been verified for this table, so the cashier remains the only place to confirm the current floor.

How we rank operators

Check the cashier before you register. A site may change its minimum between visits, and a payment method can lift the floor above the casino’s advertised number. Our payment methods page explains which methods Irish players actually see at the till.

What a small deposit actually buys

A deposit sets the size of the bankroll, not the number of spins. Stake size decides how long that bankroll lasts. Five euro at twenty cent a spin is twenty-five spins, and after twenty-five spins variance will usually have done very little to either side of the return. That is enough to see how a game behaves but not enough to judge whether you like it.

DepositStake per spinSpins before variance has a meaningful effect
€1€0.205
€1€0.502
€5€0.2025
€5€0.5010
€10€0.2050
€10€0.5020

Small stakes stretch a small deposit, but they also shrink the size of any win. A ten euro deposit played at fifty cent a spin disappears in twenty spins if no feature lands. That is arithmetic, nothing more.

The minimum deposit and the minimum for a bonus are different numbers

The cashier may accept one euro, but the welcome offer can still demand twenty euro to trigger the match. The deposit minimum lives in the payment system. The bonus minimum lives in the promotion terms. A player who sends one euro expecting the headline offer gets a funded account and no bonus.

  • Deposit floor set by the casino or the payment method, whichever is higher.
  • Bonus floor set in the offer terms and often higher than the deposit floor.
  • Withdrawal floor often sits above both, so check it before you deposit.

Withdrawal minimums catch people. A site may accept five euro and then refuse to pay out anything below twenty euro, which forces another deposit or leaves the balance locked behind play. Read the cashier page before the first transfer, not after a win. Our casino bonus guide sets out how offer terms are structured.

Payment methods and their own minimums

The casino may advertise a one euro floor, but the method you choose can refuse anything under five euro. Debit cards rarely add a floor of their own, while some e-wallets and prepaid vouchers come with processor limits that sit above the casino’s number. The effective minimum is the higher of the two, and the cashier should show it before you confirm.

  • Debit cards are the default instrument for Irish players, with €149.8bn in card payments recorded by the Central Bank in 2024.
  • Revolut has more than 3 million customers in Ireland and is close to universal among Irish-facing casinos.
  • Credit cards cannot be used for gambling in Ireland since 5 February 2026, online or in person.
  • PayPal is widely held but rarely offered by Irish-facing casinos.

In its favour

  • Debit cards and Revolut keep the deposit floor close to the casino’s own number.
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay are growing fast and usually apply no separate floor.
  • A failed low deposit costs nothing and confirms the method does not fit.

Watch out for

  • E-wallets and prepaid vouchers can impose a processor floor above the casino’s minimum.
  • PayPal appears less often at Irish-facing casinos, so do not assume it is there.
  • No GRAI-licensed operator accepts cryptocurrency, so any crypto casino reaching Irish players sits outside the GRAI framework.

Check the cashier after you log in, not the marketing page. The effective minimum is shown at the payment step, and it may change by method. For deposit limits and cooling-off tools, see responsible gambling.

How we rate these sites

The score beside each casino is a transparency rating, built from the public registers, and it says nothing about how enjoyable the games are. Irish casino licensing arrives in a later GRAI phase; the GRAI register held 40 licences on 6 October 2026 and none were gaming licences. We check the public registers, separate a casino licence from any betting licence, and compare what the site claims against what the register shows. The full method is on our how we review page.

How the review is organised

  1. 30 % Casino licence in a public register

We find the company that actually runs the casino in a regulator’s own public register, not just a badge in a footer.

  2. 20 % Irish regulatory touchpoint

Whether that same company is on the GRAI register. It covers betting, never casino, but it means an Irish regulator already holds the operator to account.

  3. 20 % Disclosure on the operator’s own pages

Whether its own site names the contracting company, the casino licence and which product each licence covers.

  4. 20 % Accuracy of its Irish claims

Points are lost where a betting licence is presented so it could read as casino approval, and lost entirely for implying Irish casino licensing that does not exist.

  5. 10 % Corporate traceability

Whether the register gives a company registration number and licence number you can look up, and how many companies sit between the player and the licence.

We did not deposit, withdraw or count a lobby for these reviews. That means the score says nothing about payouts or game choice, and it is built that way on purpose. A casino can score well on paperwork and still have a poor cashier, which is why you check the minimum yourself.

  1. Find the company

Look in the casino footer for the operating company name.

  2. Check the register

Search that company in the MGA, Gibraltar or GRAI register.

  3. Open the cashier

Log in and check the actual deposit floor for your payment method.

Casinos we have checked

We have not verified a current minimum deposit for any brand in this project, and we will not invent one here. The cards below cover the company behind the casino, the register that holds its licence, and whether the Irish betting licence belongs to the same company. Check the cashier after registration for the live deposit floor.

888casino

8.0/10

888casino operates through Virtual Global Digital Services Limited, part of Evoke plc. The casino licence is issued by the Gibraltar regulator under the Gaming Operator B2C category. Gibraltar publishes no licence numbers, only the holder and the category.

The Irish betting licence sits with a different company, 888 EIRE LTD, under GRAI-1090-RB-26-0001. That split matters because a GRAI number on the sportsbook page does not cover the casino games. The the GRAI had not yet issued gaming licences as of 6 October 2026.

The transparency score reflects that the two licences are clearly separated in the registers, with a clear corporate link to the operator’s own pages. That is an editorial rating, not a comment on payouts or game choice.

Sky Vegas

7.0/10

The Sky Vegas lobby
Screenshot of Sky Vegas lobby.

Sky Vegas uses Bonne Terre Gaming, a Sky Betting and Gaming company, as its casino licensee in Gibraltar. The category is Gaming Operator B2C, and the Gibraltar register again lists no licence number.

Its Irish sportsbook licence belongs to SBG Sports Ltd under GRAI-1069-RB-26-0001. That is a different company from the casino licensee, which means a player cannot use the GRAI registration to check the casino side.

Corporate traceability is still clear because Sky and Flutter publish the relationship on their own pages. The register check therefore separates the betting record from the casino record without much friction.

The separate registers make the picture complete: casino in Gibraltar, sportsbook in Dublin under a different legal entity. A player checking either register alone would see only half the structure.

In its favour

  • The casino licensee and the Irish betting licensee are both named in public registers.
  • The parent group is easy to trace from the operator’s own footer.
  • The Gibraltar category confirms the casino product is covered by a B2C gaming approval.

Watch out for

  • The GRAI number covers the sportsbook only, not the casino games.
  • No deposit minimum has been verified for this page, so the cashier remains the only source.
  • The transparency score says nothing about payout speed or game selection.

The published rubric awards points for public-register clarity and the split between betting and casino records, which is why this card scores 7.0 out of 10.

PokerStars Casino

7.5/10

The PokerStars Casino lobby

PokerStars Casino is run by TSG Interactive Gaming Europe Ltd, a Malta company with company number C 54266. The casino licence is MGA/B2C/213/2011, listed in the Malta Gaming Authority’s public register.

There is no GRAI betting licence attached to this operator for its Irish-facing sportsbook, and the GRAI had not yet issued gaming licences as of 6 October 2026. That leaves the Malta record as the main verification point.

ItemRegister record

GRAI betting licenceNone on the public register

The register check shows a single Maltese licensee, a clear MGA number, and no Irish betting record to conflate with the casino. That leaves less room for confusion but also gives the player one fewer local touchpoint.

  • The MGA register lists the exact licence number and the same company name.
  • The Irish register shows no GRAI entry for the casino or a related betting arm.
  • The operator’s own pages link the Maltese company to the casino product.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 1 euro deposit enough to claim a welcome bonus?

A one euro deposit rarely qualifies for a welcome bonus, because the offer sets its own qualifying deposit in the promotion terms. A site can accept one euro at the cashier and still demand twenty euro to trigger the match, so check both numbers before you transfer.

Do these casinos let me deposit less each time?

The casino may accept a small first deposit but set a higher floor for later deposits, or the payment method may refuse low amounts. The cashier shows the effective minimum after you log in, and that is the number that matters.

Are minimum deposit casinos legal in Ireland?

Online casinos serving Irish players currently operate under overseas licences, usually Malta or Gibraltar, while the GRAI introduces casino licensing in phases. A low deposit floor does not change that, and a GRAI number on a sportsbook page does not cover the casino games.

How do I check a minimum deposit before signing up?

Open the cashier after registration and look at the payment step for your chosen method. The number shown there may be higher than the marketing page, and it can change by method and by account status.
